What is Black Tie Optional?

Answer

We’d love to see all of our favorite people dress up with us for the evening! For men, we’d recommend a dark suit, tux, or formal highland wear. For women, we’d recommend floor or tea length dresses and pantsuits.

Will dinner be provided if we are staying the night before the wedding, as well?

Answer

We are holding a private rehearsal dinner for immediate family the evening before the wedding. We invite other guests to explore Moffat and grab dinner in town while you’re out exploring. We can’t wait to catch up with you afterwards at the castle, share a drink, and tell stories as we bring our two families together! Breakfast is provided during your stay.

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

The castle offers a cash bar for guests to purchase their preferred drinks both evenings. Wine will also be included with your reception meal in addition to included champagne for the drinks reception and toast. We, and the castle, ask that no outside alcohol be brought in the venue.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We’re hoping you join us in a phone free ceremony. We’ve hired the best of the best, Lauren and Barry, to help capture every moment so we can unplug and enjoy!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 3 PM. If you’re staying with us, you’ll have a short commute to the ceremony room! If you’ll only be joining us for the day, please arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony to get settled.

Why can’t I find your wedding registry?

Answer

We are incredibly grateful for our guests for making the effort to join us on this day. Your presence at our wedding is the only gift we need!

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

To ensure we can accommodate all our beloved guests, only those explicitly named on your invitation are included. Thank you for understanding!

Question

If we’re staying at the castle, what time can we check in and by when should we be checked out?

Answer

Guests may check in any time after 3 PM and must be checked out by 10 AM.
