A little more about what to expect

Here's a rough schedule of events: 9:00AM: Reception of the Baraat (Groom's arrival) 9:15:AM: Milni, a ceremony where the bride's family greets the groom's family 9:30AM-10:15AM: Snacks will be served in the Gurdwara's Langar hall 10:30-11:45PM: The Sikh religious ceremony will take place in the main hall 12:00PM: Guru Ka Langar (traditional lunch) will be served in the Langar hall
Here's a couple of tips:
- It is customary for guests to cover their heads while in the Gurdwara. Head coverings will be provided for men, and women can use their dupatta - Please also note that shoes must be removed before entering the Gurdwara. Guests will be seated on the floor during the service, if they are comfortable doing so - Guests can opt to wear traditional Indian clothes. Indian suit styles (shararas, gharara, pant suits) work best for women's attire and kurta sets work best for men's attire. - Guests may also opt to wear western style attire such as long dresses with tights and semi-formal suits for men - Please feel free to contact us at any time if you need help!
