We’re getting married!

The First Day: 8-19-2019 Ben and Kassy had their first date at The Brickhouse Grill in Charleston, Illinois. It was the beginning of her last semester at Eastern Illinois University. He picked her up on campus betwen classes to get lunch. Their lunch was filled with lots of laughter and good food. (Kinda. Ben barely ate, and Kassy was too shy to finish her meal since he wasn’t eating much so she got it in a to-go box and finished it as soon as he dropped her back off at campus before her next class.) Their first date ended with a hug and a promise for a second date. His first impression: He had a great time, and he was excited to go out again. Her first impression: He had A LOT of energy. He was a gentleman, and she was eager to learn more about him. The Yes Day: 3-1-2021 Ben had been very (im)patiently waiting for the ring to come in. He had made plans for a proposal, but when the came in, he couldn’t wait. When Kassy got off work, she found him in the garage. That is where he got down on one knee and popped the question. Kassy was so excited, and awestruck by the ring (he did a good job!) she didn’t even answer. She grabbed the ring, admired it, and hugged Ben. Her daughter, Vivian, watched the whole thing and joined in on the family hug. Side note: It was pajama day at school so Kassy was in pajamas. In her pajamas. In the garage... How romantic!
