Erin and Mason made their separate moves to Northeast Ohio in the early part of 2013- Erin found a place in Middleburg Heights in March, and Mason would land in University Heights a few months later in June. It wasn’t until January, 2014 that their paths would ultimately cross when cast in a local production of 'Les Miserables'. Not unlike their onstage characters of ‘Marius’ and ‘Eponine,’ Mason and Erin quickly formed a close friendship during the rehearsal process that lasted well beyond the run of the show. They continued running in the same social circle until fate put them in another production in 2016 where they officially began their relationship. The rest is history. *Fun fact: One of the first things Erin said after introducing herself to Mason was "I guess I have to learn to be in love with you for the next 3 months." If only they knew…

Much of our life revolves around our love of Theater. Mason decided that since we met in the theater, there would be no better way to get engaged than in the theater. When he found out Theater in the Circle would be putting on It's A Wonderful Life (a favorite of Mason's) he decided to convince Erin to audition as well. After weeks of rehearsal, Mason decided to pop the question on December 13th (13 being both Erin's lucky number and the day we began our relationship). At the end of the second night, Mason stopped the bows with a speech. Erin, was uncertain of what was happening until he called her to the front of the stage and got down on one knee, in front of family, friends and a very shocked audience.
