Ryan and Alex met on her fathers front porch while Ryan was visiting Illinois from Michigan. The two were instantly drawn to each other and, even to this day, can't explain how it happened. It was love at first encounter! The next thing you know, they were traveling almost three hundred miles one way just to see each other!

Ryan proposed to Alex on a cold winter night in December. He took her to downtown Cadillac Michigan where the town has a gas fire place set up. He told her he wanted to take pictures in front of the fire, so his sister was going to come down and take them. Tonya started to take the pictures and when Ryan got down on one knee, all you hear come from Alex was "Oh my god! What are you doing?!" And here we are!
