The Holler
By day: an amazing coffee shop full of comfy chairs, study nooks, and work stations. By night: a killer dinner spot with unique burgers, an extensive drink menu & shuffle board! It's also right next to Bike Rack Brewing (try the Slaughter Pen IPA and play one of the many board games they've got stacked in the corner).
Bentonville City Square
Try and find something the Bentonville Square doesn't have. There's coffee, good eats, & plenty of places for a pick-me-up. Some of our favorites: the Pressroom (great brunch), Onyx Coffee Lab (they also serve beer), Table Mesa (classy Taco Bell), Oven & Tap, and so much more! Plan on spending a nice afternoon there if you've got the time.
Crystal Bridges Museum
Crystal Bridges is a point of pride for NWA. The American art museum has so much to offer, and most of it's free. If you like the outdoors, meander through the trails that wrap around the whole complex; and if you'd prefer to be inside, you can peruse their rotating and permanent exhibits, as well as enjoy the famous Eleven Restaurant. If you need to kill time in a cozy location, be sure to hit this gem up.
Hammontree's Grilled Cheese
So we've always gone to the Fayetteville location, but it absolutely doesn't matter which one you go to. The point is you have to try this place. No one does gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches like them. We've been coming here for years (Aaron's favorite is the Scarlett Cheddar; but don't be like him and that be the only sandwich you order) and we will keep coming for years to come. Try the Beatnik!
Thep Thai Restaurant
A bit out of the way, but so worth the drive. This is our favorite Thai restaurant (honestly it's probably our favorite restaurant in general). No kidding, I brought an order of the chicken phad thai to Aaron when he was still living in Dallas...FIVE HOURS AWAY. Be brave if you visit. There are no bad meals on this menu.
JJ's Beer Garden & Brewing Co.
This is another big hit in the NWA area. JBGB, as it's affectionately known, has all the beer, amazing comfort food, fun specialty drinks, & games you could ever want. It's also a great family place to spend an afternoon at. While they've got ping pong, volley ball, corn hole, and shuffle board for the adults, JBGB also has an entire play area fenced off just for kids. So there's something for everyone!
