Nicole and Hayden first met at a middle school basketball game at Fort Loudoun Middle School where Nicole was substituting teaching and Hayden worked as a basketball coach. Their attraction was immediate, and it was the start of their incredible journey together.

Nicole and Hayden met in the Fall of 2017, but they didn't go on a date until September 2018 when Hayden finally worked up the courage to ask her out for "fish tacos!" Their first date consisted of a waterfall hike and lunch at Big River Restaurant in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Hayden decided that he wanted to ask Nicole to marry him on his birthday, August 4 saying it would be the best present anyone could ever give him. She had no idea it was going to happen! With family and friends around, Hayden asked her to give him the best birthday present ever and marry him. She said yes! We would have video of the proposal, but Nicole's mom forgot to press the record button on her phone...something we will never let her forget!
