Black-Tie Optional/Formal - Men: A dark suit (navy, charcoal, or black) paired with a crisp dress shirt and a conservative tie is the primary choice for this dress code. Nice dress shoes, preferably in black or dark brown, complete the look. If you prefer a more formal style, a classic black tuxedo with a tie or bow tie is also appropriate but entirely optional. - Ladies: Formal floor-length evening gowns, often in rich or classic colors such as navy, black, jewel tones, or metallics. Accessories play a key role—think statement jewelry, a sophisticated clutch, and high heels or dressy flats. Hair is typically styled in an updo or soft waves, and makeup tends to be polished. Overall, the look should exude timeless sophistication suitable for a formal evening affair. **IMPORTANT** Women should avoid wearing white, ivory or any similar color to respect the bride, as well as neon or overly bright colors that clash with the formal tone. Loud prints, overly casual patterns, and anything too revealing or flashy are also inappropriate. Instead, opt for rich, elegant tones like navy, burgundy, emerald, or metallics that convey sophistication and suit the evening's upscale ambiance.
