It’s Finally Happening!!!

We first met in high school in 2002. I was a sophomore and Sean was a junior. Sean saw me from across the courtyard and told his buddies that he had to meet this gorgeous tall girl. We dated for awhile and then like most love stories in high school we broke up. Sean tried to get back together a year later when I was moving to California to take care of my dad and asked me not to go. Little did I know that would be the last time I heard from Sean for 13 years.

Fast forward to 2015, I decided to move to Alabama for a change in scenery and Sean friended one of my friends on Facebook. I immediately got his information and messaged him. We reconnected that day and most days we would talk on the phone for 4 hours about anything and everything. Sean flew out to see me 6 weeks later. It was love at second sight. We knew we were meant to be and finally realized why our prior relationships never worked out.

Sean and I went to visit my good friend Kim in Washington State for a weekend trip. Kim took me to get my nails done and then she insisted on taking me to a park. I was confused and was like, " Why are we going to a park?" "We are 30 years old and its misting and cold outside." We all walked around the park and Kim spotted a waterfall and pushed Sean and I to walk down to take pictures next to the waterfall. Sean and I got down to the bottom of this hill and began posing for the pictures. The next moment is when my life changed forever. Sean asked me to marry him next to this beautiful waterfall in Washington. Little did I know that he got Kim's phone number from my phone and planned all of this to happen this special weekend. It was amazing. He took my breath away...literally. I was about to cry from being so happy and he hugged me extremely tight and knocked the wind out of me.
