It's always funny when people ask the story of how we met. Slightly awkward, but definitely funny nonetheless. We actually met in high school when I was dating one of his best friends- ha! Fast forward 6 years, we 're-met' when we worked together at Applebee's. I made the first move and spontaneously asked him for his Snapchat name one day at work. We had been talking for a while and I had been looking for a real good excuse to use my BOGO coupon to Orange Leaf ;-) Even though he was wearing an Ohio State hoodie and mentioned that he was a die-hard Reds fan *sigh * {GO CARDS!!} I still gave the dude a chance and knew he was 'the one' almost immediately after our 4 hour long frozen yogurt date. I mean, I wouldn't waste a froyo coupon on just anyone! - J We met when I was a freshman in college and she was a senior in high school. At the time she was dating one of my best friends. After about 6 years she ended up transferring to the Applebee's where I worked at. After 4 months on halloween she asked for my Snapchat name. We talked for a couple of days and she asked me to go get orange leaf with her. That night we spent about an hour eating and talking. I didn't want the night to end there. So I asked if she was still hungry and if she wanted to go to country kitchen. Luckily she said yes!! We spent 4 hours eating and talking (even though I had to finish a paper due at 8 in the morning.... Got an A on it!!). At the end she asked if I wanted to meet her dog and of course I said yes! When I think about this date. I believe this is when I feel in love with this wonderful woman! I have never connected with someone like her. I just felt comfortable and excited when I was with her. And I don't think I could love anyone else as much as I love her!! She is my everything!! - B
About 5 months into our relationship, we both knew that this was going somewhere and we were in for the long haul. We were both about to graduate college and begin our lives, so timing was perfect and everything was just falling into place. We had been tossing around wedding ideas for the future like when/where/etc. We knew that we wanted to get married on November 2nd, because it happened to be the anniversary of when we went on that froyo date, and it happened to fall on a Saturday in 2019 ;) There was a beautiful event venue that we both had in mind for when that day would come. On May 22nd, we went and "toured" the venue. While touring the venue, he took my hand to go on a walk outside. He took me on a walk down the aisle towards the arbor where the ceremony would take place. When we reached the arbor at the end of the aisle, he said to me, "well, i guess there's just one thing left to do", dropped down on one knee, and asked if I would spend forever with him. It was the most amazing moment and I was in so much shock that I don't even think I said yes! - J It was May and I knew that she was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with! We were out one day just shopping one day and I asked if she wanted to go look at rings. Of course she said yes! (I never seen her run to the checkout at Ulta so fast!!) We went back and forth on a couple of rings. Eventually I went and picked the ring up after work one day. The only thing I had to do is figure out how to propose to her! The was two ways I was going to do it, 1st was at the venue we were going to tour and the 2nd was at her college graduation. I went with the first option. On May 22 we went to the venue to look at After touring the venue, our parents sat down and talked to the owner. I took Jess down to the arbor were we would say "I do". Right before I dropped down to one knee I told her "before we get this place there is only one thing left to do!" -B
