As we have been navigating moving across the country, the wedding is approaching fast! Life moves at supersonic speed and with a new house, graduate school, new jobs, and more, we soon became overwhelmed with our to-do list. When talking, we both really enjoyed the idea of having our wedding in a place that is very near to our hearts. Charleston was the first place we went on vacation together. Furthermore, the first places we went was Sullivan's Island beach and Mex 1 on Sullivan's Island. We are so excited to have everyone's understanding and support. We can't wait to show you a piece of our story as we start our next chapter!!
With having our ceremony on the beach, we are able to have the amazing backdrop of the ocean and the beauty of the beach. However, per the town of Sullivan's Island, we are unable to have chairs at our ceremony. If you have any worries or qualms about standing for our ceremony, we completely understand and invite you to join us for the celebrations that follow at Mex 1. If this is what is best for you, please arrive at Mex 1 between 4:00- 5:00 PM for cocktail hour. Dinner and reception will follow! :)
Parking is available near Station 18 but Station 18 is within walking distance to Mex 1, the reception venue, so if possible we would love if guests can uber or lyft to the venue! If there are any concerns, please contact us and we can set something up that helps our guest have the most enjoyable day!
An open bar will be available at cocktail hour into reception. But we do encourage our guests to have a couple bucks on hand to tip our awesome bartenders!
We are just as excited as you to document our special day, however, we would appreciate if you refrain from taking extensive photos during our ceremony. If you would like to take a couple pictures, great! We just ask that you please TURN OFF FLASH photography.
If you are able to make it to our wedding, YAY, we are so excited to see you! That being said, we understand the change of wedding plans can make it difficult for everyone to attend. If you are unable to make it, we thank you for supporting us and just let us know!
