Explore the Daytona Beach Pier/Mainstreet. Lots to do and see - ice cream, bars/restuarants, the beach!
Daytona Electric Bikes
Rent bikes or electric bikes to take on the beach! There is more than one bike/ebike rental location.
Sea Spirit Deep Sea Fishing
We had an absolute blast deep sea fishing. Tip - it might be early, but go in the morning! We caught around 20 fish between the two of us. Bonus - you may see a TON of aquatic life. Dolphins, turtles, fish, jellyfish, sting rays, sharks, etc! Sea Spirit is the charter we went on, but there are many more around the Daytona area.
Dine and Cruise
A casual dinner cruise on the Halifax river. It's nothing fancy, but it gets you on the water and dinner is included!
Jackie Robinson Ballpark
Check out a game if the at the first professional ballpark Jackie Robinson ever played at! Simon & Madalyn both sell tickets during the summers for the Daytona Tortugas (Red's low A affiliate team).
Congo River Golf
Play some mini golf at a fun course in Daytona! Bonus: Feed a (small) alligator!
Daytona Beach Parasail
10/10 recommend for anyone, all ages. The only compliant we had was that we weren't in the air long enough!
Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse & Museum
Visit the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse near the beach.
Kennedy Space Center
If you have rented a car, Cape Canaveral is about an hour drive from Daytona Beach. Visit Kennedy Space Center! Ask the couple if there's a rocket/satellite launch going on during your visit. You can see the launch from Daytona Beach.
ICON Park
Icon Park is a big tourist spot in Orlando. In Icon Park or all around it you can find anything from the Orlando Eye, to Ripleys, mini golf, bars/restaurants with live music, Pirate Dinner Theater, etc.!
Daytona International Speedway
Go for a tour at Daytona International Speedway! Also, check out North Turn - a restaurant/bar right on the beach with a NASCAR museum and live music.
Blue Spring State Park
Blue Spring State Park is about 25 miles from Daytona Beach. Beautiful State Park to explore. You can rent a kayak/paddle board, or swim. Also, may see some manatees, turtles, fish, birds or ....alligators. Especially if you do the boat cruise. We loved it!
Disney Springs
Maybe not interested in an entire Disney vacation? Disney Springs is a great alternative to experience a little Disney atmosphere. Ride the Skyliner (free!) on Disney property - it's only a short complementary bus ride from the there. Shop, Eat, Drink, etc. at Disney Springs! Simon and Madalyn highly recommend the Cirque Du Soleil show!
Universal Studios Florida
If you choose to go to Universal, let the couple know to make some recommendations if you have never been there before!
