The general theme we're going for is 1960s and 70s Hollywood. Think funky, mod, Valley of the Dolls, Boogie Nights, or Mad Men. Eclectic old Hollywood with a dash of garden psychedelia. So go BIG, go off, but most importantly wear something you feel fantastic in! Nothing is off-limits!
If you are staying off-site or driving to the venue the day of the wedding, please plan to arrive at the venue between 2pm - 2:45pm at the latest. The shuttle will be running between the guest parking lot and the ceremony site starting at 2pm and will make its LAST trip up from the parking lot at 3pm. Our ceremony will begin at 3:30pm.
Each rented cabin comes with one reserved parking spot. All other guests must park off-site and take a shuttle in and out of the property. The address of the off-site parking lot is as follows: St. Peter & St. Paul Antiochian Orthodox Church 9980 Hwy 9 Ben Lomond, CA 95005 You will park in the lot on the corner of Hwy 9 and Brown Gables Road. The shuttle ride from the parking lot to the venue is about ten minutes. The shuttle will come to the parking lot to collect guests every twenty minutes or so between 2 - 2:45pm. If you are using this option, please plan accordingly and arrive early to ensure that you leave yourself enough time. The shuttle will begin transporting folks from the parking lot to the ceremony site from 2pm - 2:45pm. It will return to shuttle folks back to the parking lot from 7:30pm - 10pm.
For those who have reserved a cabin and are parking on-site: Directions to Waterfall Lodge: Important—be sure to use the following address for your Google Maps or other navigation tool: 180 Hidden Falls Trail, Ben Lomond, CA 95006 Take Hwy 9 to Ben Lomond. Turn onto Alba Road. Be careful to turn onto Alba Road and NOT onto Hubbard Gulch (the entrance to both roads are right next to each other—Hubbard Gulch will not get you to the retreat.) 1.3 miles up Alba Road, you will see a sign when you arrive that says “Enter next Left”. Take that next left. You will then see two signs, “Sequoia Retreat Center” and “Welcome”. Follow those signs to the left and continue down the past the Sequoia buildings until you arrive at the “Guest Hub”. A Waterfall staff member will meet you there.
This venue is nestled in the mountains. The drive includes many narrow, winding roads and steep inclines. Though all roads are paved, we do suggest that you take a car that you are comfortable driving in on this terrain. We absolutely recommend carpooling.
We ask that you please take this seriously as we will be in a densely wooded area that is prone to wildfires. Smoking is prohibited inside the Waterfall Lodge and all buildings and cabins on the property. Smoking is allowed outside on the Waterfall Lodge patios only in designated areas; however, we ask that you make sure that everything is fully extinguished when you are finished. Smoking is prohibited on all other grounds or wooded areas.
Though you will be (mostly) walking on paved pathways at the ceremony and reception sites, there will be points where you will be walking in grass or mulch. We recommend bringing shoes that you are comfortable walking in, and are fine walking in on steep inclines. Maybe keep a cheeky pair of flats in your bag if you opt to wear your stilettos on the big day (trust me, you’ll thank me later 😘).
