Chase and I met about three years ago in a twist on the classic "mutual friends" setup. My best friend, Katelyn, had been dating Chase’s brother, Mason, for about six months when she decided to support him while he preached at church. Naturally, I tagged along for moral support, as any good best friend would. What I didn’t expect was that I’d end up meeting Mason’s entire family, including his younger brother, Chase. We exchanged (literally) fewer than ten words that day, but apparently that was enough, because shortly after, Chase tracked down my number and asked me out for coffee. We had every intention of taking things slow, but it turns out love had other plans.
