Question

What should I wear?

Answer

There is absolutely no dress code other than we'd love if you incorporated bright color into your outfit. If you have a fun hat, a colorful scarf, any statement piece, please wear it! But just wear whatever you feel best in, whatever you won't get too hot in, and whatever is good for dancing and sitting around a campfire! There is gravel and a lot of grass so heels might be inconvenient (I mean, when aren't they), and volleyball and lawn games are also on the menu if anyone is feeling up to it. We would rather have you be comfy than have you look "fancy". Photos will be gorgeous as long as your beautiful faces are in them. And we are two people that can never have too much color so we'd love if you help us fill our day and our photos with vibrancy and fun. (There is also a lake so if you're feeling crazy, maybe bring a swimsuit just in case)

If we are in the woods, then what's for dinner?

Answer

Oh, only a few delicious food trucks. We will make sure that there are gluten free, dairy free, and vegan options for anyone that needs it. It's nothing fancy, but it will be yummy.

What about kids?

Answer

If you know us, you know we looooove your kids. However, we also love you and would love if you got to have a childfree afternoon where you get to relax and have fun without chasing around the littles. With the venue being surrounded by woods, a lake being nearby, and other aspects that are not super duper kid friendly, we are choosing to not have any kids at our wedding. Reach out to us if you have any questions, we don't bite and would love chat with you about anything!

Are we going to be outside the whole time?

Answer

Um, hopefully! There are definitely inside spots that can be used for a few people at a time if that is needed, but we are hoping for a afternoon of fresh air out in the woods with the people we love most. If you have a sunscreen or bug spray you love, bring it! If you want to be joining in on the fun but need shade, umbrellas and fans are encouraged! The ceremony will be in the shade and we will have a big ole tent so ideally that's all we will need!

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We desperately wish we could invite anyone and everyone to our celebration, but we have a very strict guest count that we have to stick to. We are trying to keep our celebration small and personal, so every guest spot available is going to be given to a close family or friend. If your partner is invited, their name will be on the save the date/invite!
