We met our sophomore year at Iowa State. We were both at a social event for our greek chapters, were told to turn to the person next to us, and introduce ourselves. We started dating the beginning of our senior year.

Alec had been planning a very special night since the beginning of the fall. We went to dinner to celebrate his birthday as a decoy while our families and close friends set up a surprise after-party. We were walking to meet my brothers for drinks, stopped on a corner in the middle of downtown Glen Ellyn near the Christmas tree and I looked over and he was down on one knee. I said "YES" and we were engaged! We had an amazing time celebrating after. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in June!
