High School Sweethearts

A Sing Song Beginning

We met in Concert Choral (our varsity mixed choir) in high school. We had our own groups that we ran with that actually ended up overlapping some. Skaters, choir nerds, and musicians everywhere! Both of us had a tendency to spend a lot of time outside of school in our choir room helping with events, practicing, or even just hanging out. So, we saw each other quite a bit, and started spending more and more time together. During one choir event, I "borrowed" his skateboard and rolled down the empty hall sitting on the board (10/10 would recommend, it's a very sooth ride). I didn't fall off the board, luckily, but I was falling for him at the time.

Upgrading to Fiancée

Alligator Tail and Proposals

Adrien took me to Papadeaux's in May of 2019. This was a restaurant he loved that he had brought me to before when we were younger. He was determined to make me try new things. On our previous visit he had me try the alligator tail bites. I was hesitant at first. But long story short, it was a requirement on our date for sure. We had a great date and he eventually walked around to my side of the booth and sat next to me. He pulled out a ring he had gotten and, minus the down on one knee (we were in a booth that had a VERY narrow pathway next to it, not conducive to kneeling), he proposed. I melted. It was perfect.

Time flies

Why it took so long

College, work, finances, health, you name it. We had no rush to get married because it just wasn't the right time. We were together and nothing else mattered. Waiting wasn't a problem for us, and time flew. Next thing we knew it had been over 10 years together!

The Next Chapter

Making the Next Step

Now we have been together for 11 beautiful years, and we are ready to take the next step. Marriage license has been obtained, and now we are happy to make it official on paper. So, we are happy to welcome our closest family to join us in sealing the deal.
