Simon and Sofia never thought they’d find love on a dating app, but their connection proved them wrong. When they first matched, they couldn’t meet in person right away because Sofia was traveling in Mexico and Colombia for a month. Instead, they spent hours on FaceTime, quickly realizing their chemistry was strong, even from a distance. On August 17, 2023, they finally met in person, and it felt like they had known each other for years. Even though they came from very different cultures, Simon and Sofia loved learning about each other’s backgrounds. They introduced each other to their families early on and felt an immediate sense of belonging. Over the next few months, their bond grew, and they realized they not only loved being together but wanted to build a future as partners. In early 2024, Simon traveled to Colombia with Sofia and got to experience her world firsthand. During this trip, they started imagining what life would look like as a married couple. By this point, they had gone through the ups and downs of a serious relationship and knew they were ready to take the next step.
