FAQs

Question

What time should we arrive at the venue for the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony begins at 3:30 PM PST. Please arrive by 3:00 PM.

Question

Is there a reception?

Answer

We have not booked a traditional wedding reception. We wanted to keep the event intimate and unique. Instead, we will be having an intimate reception dinner in a private room at Piazza D' Angelo. The restaurant is near the ceremony location.

Question

Is there a dress code for the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, we encourage a polished and timeless look. For men, lightweight suits are a great choice given the temperate climate of Northern California. For women, we also suggest a timeless and comfortable look. Consider colors such as sage, mint, olive green, brown, black, tan, rustic orange, earthy pinks or reds, burgundy, mauve gray, dark blue, gold, or soft mustard yellow.

Question

Which airports should we fly into?

Answer

The nearest major airport is San Francisco International Airport (SFO). The airport is approximately a 1 to 1.5-hour drive to the general area we will be in. For those coming from the East Coast, we strongly recommend nonstop flights for travel ease. :)

Question

Any advice for accommodations?

Answer

We encourage you to stay wherever you feel most comfortable in Marin County. While the ceremony and dinner will be held here, we’re envisioning this as a getaway wedding. After the celebration, feel free to extend the fun with a weekend exploring nearby Sonoma County, offering a wealth of activities and beautiful landscapes to explore. So, aside from local hotels, you can reserve stays on AirBnB or Vrbo in Marin County. We highly recommend booking large homes or villas for groups. They book fast but are the most cost-effective and reliable.

Question

How do we get around?

Answer

Given the significant driving involved, and no public transport available, we recommend renting cars and/or carpooling. You can book through a traditional rental service or the cost-effective Turo app.

Question

What is the weather going to be like?

Answer

In October, the days can be warm—sometimes even quite hot—while the evenings tend to cool down. Be sure to pack layers, and keep a shawl or jacket in your car for added comfort as temperatures fluctuate.

Question

Is there a wedding registry?

Answer

Please see 'Registry' section of this website.

Question

What is there to do on weekends in the area?

Answer

You will be near the heart of Sonoma and Napa Counties, where adventure and natural beauty abound! Plan ahead to book a vineyard tour, savor fresh oysters in Bodega Bay, or take a scenic hot air balloon ride. Explore the stunning California State Parks, from the rugged sea cliffs of Sonoma Coast State Park to the ancient redwoods in Armstrong Woods. As you explore, please remember to follow the Leave No Trace principles to help preserve these incredible landscapes for future generations.
