FAQs

You have questions. We have answers. (Partially generated by ChatGPT)
Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by June 9, 2025 (Erika's Birthday!), so we can have an accurate head count.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please check your invite to see if we have included your +1.

Question

Are my kids welcome?

Answer

YES!! We love you and your little ones and realize they're a part of your lives not to be left at home, but included in our celebration. In some cases, it may be our first time to meet them, so we want to leave them with a REALLY good first impression of us. We also want to give the opportunity for parents to meet other parents and kids to meet other kids. We likely will include fun (non messy) ideas for them and ensure their needs, as a collective whole, are met. Just one tiny request: If you are bringing your children, PLEASE TELL US! Include their name, gender, age of the event date, dietary/special needs, and any restrictions before the RSVP date so we can plan accordingly.

Question

Oh no! There's a mistake on my invitation. How can I fix it?

Answer

Were you also the type to misspell their name on classroom quizzes due to sheer enthusiasm too? Well, no worries - we won't let it get to the printing presses. Just contact us, and we’ll fix it faster than you can say "RSVP".

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Something nice. Leave the white dress at home though.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and the reception are indoors. Cocktail hour and photos will likely be outdoors, weather permitting. The reception hall should be open to allow for washroom access, so if you don't want to be outdoors in fall weather, you shouldn't have to be.

Question

Is there on-site parking? Is it free?

Answer

Yes! The Doctor's House has a closed, gated parking lot on-site slightly beyond the main signs to the venue. We've been assured by the staff that guests can park free of charge so please IGNORE the parking machines that ask you to pay when you leave (unless you want to be suckered like us on our first venue visit).

Question

Will There Be A Shuttle Service / Transportation Provided?

Answer

Unfortunately, no. We encourage you to arrange your own transportation or carpool to and from the venue. Public transportation is possible, but impractical. (In some cases, Google Maps says it's faster to bike than take public transport.) If you have concerns, please reach out to us so that we may do our best to help your situation.

Question

What food are you serving?

Answer

We have yet to finalize those details. For now, please let us know any dietary restrictions or food allergies on the RSVP or as soon as possible.

Question

Can I Bring My Own Alcohol?

Answer

No. The venue has a policy against outside alcohol. Good news though. We’ve got you covered with a FULL OPEN BAR, including bottomless mimosas, orange juice for the kiddos / DDs, and an espresso bar for all the caffeine addicts (but mainly for Simon). Cheers!

Question

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Answer

Yes, with the exception to those sitting in the aisle at the ceremony. This way, our professional photographers can do their best work. If you feel the desire to capture the moment or post in real time, we kindly ask you sit further in.

Question

Can I Give A Speech or Toast?

Answer

Perhaps. We have a very rigorous auditioning process. Ok, not really. But if you'd like to say a few words, we'd love that. We just ask that you check with us in advance.

Question

Is there a gift registry?

Answer

Nope. We feel very blessed, fortunate and grateful to have all our material needs met. We can't ask for anything else beyond your commitment to get up early on a Sunday and brave Toronto traffic to come join us. (We know... it's as large of a commitment than the one we're about to make.) We suppose you could just... throw free money or red pockets at us and run away. We wouldn't let good cash go to waste.

Question

What fun Activities or Games do you have planned?

Answer

Lots! Whether we fit them in or do them all is a different story. All we can say now is... expect the unexpected.

Question

What Time Does The Reception End?

Answer

Technically, we have the space until 9:00PM. We are budgeting the last hour for clean-up, but we may wrap up much earlier than this. Feel free to leave when you think it’s time, especially if you have a long drive home or a big meeting in the morning.

Question

HELP!! I can't handle my excitement!!!

Answer

That's not a question. But we can't either!

For all the days along the way
