Question
What is the dress code?
Answer
The dress code is smart. Men please wear chinos and a dress shirt - no shorts or jeans please. Ladies - LBDs, pant suits, jumpsuits, cocktail dresses. Please note that the ceremony and the reception are on grass and the ground is uneven in places.

Is there parking available at the venue?
Answer
Yes there is plenty of parking available at the venue and it is accessible for all vehicle types.
Question
What time must i arrive at the venue?
Answer
The venue will be open from 13:30 and the ceremony will be starting promptly at 14:00. Please make sure you arrive from 13:30 onwards. Please be mindful that there are current road works occurring at the Shongweni/Polo Pony bridge and on Kassier road that can cause delays. There is also ongoing roadworks on the N3 to Pietermaritzburg and Ballito - we would encourage guests who are driving from far to leave a little earlier or book overnight accommodation.

What is the weather like in Assagay?
Answer
While we are hoping for a warm sunny day it will start to get chilly at the venue when the sun sets around 17:00. Please make sure to bring a jersey/jacket and sensible footwear.

Is there accommodation at the venue?
Answer
Unfortunately there is no accommodation at the venue but there are many BnBs in the area. Areas close by include Hillcrest, Assagay, Bothas Hill, Waterfall, Gillits and Kloof. Uber is also available in the area.

What if i have special dietary requirements?
Answer
Please let us know as soon as possible if you have any food allergies or dietary requirements so that we can organise a special meal for you with the caterer.

Will there be a bar service and how can i pay?
Answer
Complimentary Gin, Beer, Wine and Cold drinks will be on offer during the canapés. Thereafter a cash bar will be available throughout the night. Payments for the cash bar will be with cash or Zapper only. Please make sure you have the Zapper App downloaded on your phone.

Are children allowed at the wedding?
Answer
Unfortunately the venue is not suitable for little ones as it has multiple dams that are easily accessible. This will be an adult-only celebration and we hope that you will be able to have a much deserved night off to celebrate with us.

Can i bring a plus one to the wedding?
Answer
While we would love to accommodate everyone we do have venue restrictions. Please refer to your invite which will inform you of the guests invited to the day. We appreciate your understanding.

What shoes should i wear?
Answer
Flat shoes or a small block heel or wedge. The ground is quite uneven and the event will be taking place on grass.

How do i RSVP to the wedding?
Answer
There will be a link provided on the electronic invite. Please follow the prompts. Please RSVP by the 24th of March 2025. There is also an RSVP tab on the website. If you are not able to find your name please contact Emma.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Answer
The ceremony will take place outdoors however a tent will be on standby incase of bad weather. The reception will take place in a marquee.
