On the first day of Spring semester, Beyase arrived on campus carrying a bit too much and already trying to make sure nothing would be forgotten. In the middle of it all, she needed a quick bathroom break, but in true first-day chaos, she didn’t want to leave her belongings unattended or bring them all into the bathroom either. She turned to the first person she saw and asked if he could watch her things for a moment. That person was Simon, who agreed without hesitation, unknowingly agreeing to the start of something much bigger. When Beyase returned, a simple thank you turned into conversation, and they quickly discovered they shared two classes together. What started as a small act of trust (and a very necessary bathroom break) turned into laughs between lectures, shared routines, and more time together than either of them expected. Not long after, a campus favour turned into a connection neither of them planned, but both of them chose.
