We’ve technically known each other since middle school thanks to mutual friends — but the universe had a funny way of bringing us together. For years, we both spent our summers at the same beach in Westerly, Rhode Island, probably walking right past each other without even knowing. Fast forward to August 2019: we vacationed there at the same time, finally crossed paths, and suddenly everything clicked. By August 9th, we were officially dating, and by basically every date after that, we were inseparable. Our “greatest hits” include hiking trails, soccer games, beach weekends, ice cream (lots of it), card games that brought out our competitive sides, pool days, and amazing trips to Disney, Portugal, and New Hampshire. At the core of everything, we’re simply best friends and do everything together. In October 2024, during a weekend away, Simon brought Carly back to the beach where it all started. With the sunset behind them, he asked her to marry him. And now we’re here, excited for all the memories still to come.
