Our venue is indoor/outdoor. The barn where the reception will be held is indoor and has heating and A/C. The barn also has a covered porch and the property has a pond stocked with fish. With all of these amenities hopefully everyone can find a place they feel comfortable to hang out and enjoy the afternoon and evening.
We would prefer everyone to be early and on time, however we understand things happen and would still love to see you at the reception, but kindly ask that you wait in your vehicle until after the ceremony as to not disrupt the ceremony procession, vows or recession that we have been working so hard on all year.
Yes! We will have our officiant remind everyone that our ceremony is unplugged and to silence and turn off all cell phones, watches, tablets etc during the ceremony. We have hired a wonderful photographer who will take some beautiful pictures that we will share with everyone, and wish to not have any pictures of arms and smartphones sticking up in the air or out in the aisle.
Absolutely! Our four children will be in attendance, so we will not ask you to leave yours out. However, if you wish to get a babysitter for the evening, that’s perfectly fine too! No judgment here!
There will be a designated parking area and we will assign a few people to point everyone in the right direction as you come onto the venue property. There are certain areas where the venue owners do not want people to drive, and we want to help everyone avoid those areas and respect the venue owners property.
We will start welcoming guests approximately 30-45 minutes before the ceremony starts. (2:45-3:00pm)
We have hired a bartender to tend an open bar. We are working on a menu which will include some signature cocktails. We will also be providing cold beer. For children, underage adults and adults who choose not to partake in the open bar we will have tea, lemonade, juices and water.
Semi-formal attire (dressy casual). We want everyone to dress up and feel nice, while also being comfortable!
You may not smoke anywhere within 50 feet of the building. We kindly ask you move to the firepit or down by the pond to smoke. However, keep in mind that cigarette butts need to be kept and thrown away properly. We do not wish to spend our first evening as a married couple picking up your cigarette butts.
We are currently working on a catering a taco bar! We will have steak and chicken options with toppings, some sides and tea/lemonade.
Please RSVP by September 1st, 2025. After this date we will be unable to accommodate anyone who has not RSVP'd as we will be making final arrangements for the number of guests who have let us know they are coming. This includes seating charts, amount of food, drinks and alcohol all of which will need to be finalized in September. Thank you!
