The first time we met was at Landmark Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC. Along with his friend Raphael, Shawn was trying to call my friend Sherlynn and me to stop walking. We proceed to ignore them until they started singing. Sherl said, "Stop girl, they are singing". I was not interested in a singer because (clears throat)... Sherl and I can sing too. I eventually got Shawn's number but never called. Fast forward another couple years. My other friend, Sherell, met Shawn at McDonald's in Georgetown, SC and he needed someone to braid his hair. She then decided to give him my number. I started braiding his hair and hated it. It was long and he was so picky about every single braid. I started ignoring some of his calls at one point so I wouldn't have to braid his hair anymore. He was a nice guy and we would always talk about new movies since my mom was obsessed with buying all new releases that came out. He even asked to barrow Last House on the Left and till this day he never gave my mom her movie back and that was in 2009. From the conversations we had I could tell there was something special about him. On New Year, January 1, 2010 he came over so I could braid his hair. When I was done, he was on his way to a race and asked if I wanted to come. I wasn't doing anything so I went. We hung out at the race and when he took me home we sat in the car for a long time talking about everything. It was getting really late so I told him it's time to go. He got out of the car, came over and gave me a hug. As I walked away he asked for a kiss. I should have walked away lol, but I didn't and turned around and gave him a peck. Ever since then he never paid me to braid his hair again.
