To prevent altitude sickness it is recommend that everyone is well hydrated for the days leading up to the wedding. Supplementing vitamin c can also help prevent altitude sickness. The elevation in Denver and Boulder are ~5,000 feet. Everyone is advised to spend some time in these areas to acclimate to the altitude before heading up into the mountains. Nederland and the Sundance Lodge are ~8,000 feet in elevation. However if anyone still experiences altitude sickness, most places have emergency oxygen for purchase and this would give you some relief.
The dress code is semi-formal. Men should wear a suit and women should wear a dress, pantsuit, or dressy jumpsuit. No jeans or shorts please 🙂.
June can be an unpredictable month in Colorado. However we can expect an average high of 75 ° F and an average low of 47° F. Rain is unlikely but it's best to come prepared with a raincoat and a jacket.
The ceremony and reception will be outside. These events will both be held at the Sundance Lodge.
10:00 am. But don't worry, the ceremony won't start without you!
Yes! There is a parking lot in front of Sundance Lodge.
We would love for all guests to be fully present during the ceremony and to respectfully turn phones and cameras off, to allow our photographer to capture this special moment.
Immediately following the ceremony we will be taking family photos for an hour to an hour and a half. While people wait for their turn we will be having mimosas on the deck! Everyone is also welcome to explore the area or fish for brook trout in the river while waiting. After photos we will enjoy catering from Busey Brews Smokehouse in the event area that's on site.
We will be white water rafting in Idaho Springs on 6/26/2021. The boys are also planning to fly fish on 6/27/2021 and the girls will be in Boulder for the day. Please reach out if you are interested in either of these outings so we include you when booking. The more the merrier!
We are registered on Zola but home depot gift cards are always welcome (we just bought our first house)!
