One of Simi's closest friends since second grade, Anna is a lawyer who works in the public interest sector. Anna and Simi attended choir together and grew close over their shared love of books and writing.
Erin Beachum
Best Person
Erin, A.J., and Sarah were all part of the same posse in law school. Through the power of baked goods, D&D, board games, and video games, Erin became one of A.J.'s best friends. They remained A.J.'s best friend even after law school ended, keeping in touch through gaming and mutual friends. Erin solidified themselves as A.J.'s Best Person when they selflessly offered nearly constant advice and help to his girlfriend -> fiancee when she was studying for the bar. Erin is currently a litigation attorney in Chicagoland.
Jenny Alberth
Maid of Honor
Jenny has been friends with Simi since second grade, where they bonded over not wanting to play at recess in favor of reading the same book (no, literally. The same book. Simi sat on the right and Jenny sat on the left and read the same pages at varying speeds.) Jenny is an anthropologist and loves starting new hobbies. Favorite Memory: Eating dinner with Simi and A.J. in the early stages of wedding planning and seeing how comfortable Simi was with him, and how much he valued her, and feeling happy knowing she was happy. They seemed like a great match.
Nicole Cermak
Maid of Honor
Nicole has known Simi since second grade, when Simi moved in next door. They connected through their mutual love of reading. Today, Nicole works as an auditor in Chicago and enjoys running in her free time. Favorite Memory: Simi, A.J., and I walking along the Chicago river walk. It was my first time meeting him and as I got to know him, I realized what a great fit they were for each other.
Sarah Billington
Groomswoman
Sarah met A.J. during their first year of law school at U of I. They lived at the same apartment complex and bonded over their shared law school trauma. Sarah met Simi through A.J., and now the two work together at Howard & Howard. Favorite memory: Playing a murder mystery game at A.J.’s condo and deciding to cheat within about 15 minutes because we were so bad at it!
Sara Lepek
Maid of Honor
Sara has known Simi since middle school, bonding over their shared love of books. Sara currently works as a math interventionist at ALLIES Elementary School in Colorado Springs. Favorite Memory: Simi's law school graduation, where afterwards A.J., Simi, and I hung out and got to know each other even more. We talked for hours and hours (until 2 am if I remember right) and I really loved seeing them interact.
