There are flights directly into Milas–Bodrum Airport (BJV) from some European cities during the summer months, or you could fly in through Istanbul or Izmir as well. For transportation from Bodrum airport to your hotel, we recommend taking the public shuttle bus from the airport into Bodrum city called "Havaş". From the Bodrum city center you can take a cab to your hotel. In Bodrum shuttle buses or cabs do not accept credit cards, so please make sure to have Turkish Lira on you before boarding.
If you want to explore a little bit of Turkey and have a road trip before the wedding, we recommend that you fly into Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport (ADB), rent a car and explore the nearby gems! 1) Ephesus: Where Temple of Artemis, one of the ancient Seven Wonders of the World, used to be. https://www.lonelyplanet.com/turkey/aegean-coast/ephesus-efes Ephesus is ~1h30 mins away from Izmir and it is on the way to Bodrum. In addition to Ephesus, there are 2 sites near Izmir, which would be a bit of a detour from Bodrum but you could also explore. 2) Pamukkale. Another popular site to see on Turkey's aegean coast, which is 3 hours away from Ephesus and 4 hours away from Bodrum. https://www.lonelyplanet.com/turkey/aegean-coast/pamukkale
If you have never been to Istanbul, we recommend that you take the opportunity to visit before or after our wedding. You can fly into Istanbul Airport, and after visiting the city you can take another flight into Bodrum. https://www.lonelyplanet.com/turkey/istanbul https://culinarybackstreets.com/culinary-walks/istanbul/ Simge has lots of more tips on Istanbul so if you decide to visit let her know. :)
