Welcome to Our Journey

I’ve always heard things happen when you’re not expecting them. I was at church one day and noticed we had a Bass guitar player in the choir. It’s usually two keyboards, and a drummer, my husband. When I saw the Bass player I recognized him as my uncle’s best friend’s brother… I know a mouthful. I heard a small but calm voice in my head or heart that said… this man would be good for Andjy. Huh? Yes just like that. I’m known for ignoring my own small voice at times and this was one of them. I do not introduce people, simply because if things don’t work out, they come to you to complain. The next time I went to church I heard the same voice, the same way but this time it was like, “don’t be scared”. So I talked to my husband about it and he said to speak to Andjy to see if she minded me reaching out to the guy, who is now the groom Simba. Andjy said, “sure, why not”, or something along those lines… very passive lol So before I reached out to him, I attempted to ask some other people if they knew him, because this was my best friend I was trying to introduce him to… No one could give me any bad information, everything was, well I don’t know much about him but, he’s a cool dude. Okay… I finally mustered up the courage. I was leaving church on April 23, 2023… I remember the exact date because I took a picture outside of church that day lol I had my husband, the drummer to ask Simba if he was single… My husband said I should ask and he called Simba over. I was a little nervous but I’m a big girl. I said, “Simba are you single, like single single? He responded yes! Ah Ah! Me, no longer shy or afraid, I said, I have someone for you and he said, oh wow no one thinks of me! Awe. Numbers were exchanged and this man took three weeks… three weeks before he texted… but since that first text they have been speaking ever since. Glory be to God!
