The Wedding

11:00 am - 6:00 pm

For our Sikh temple wedding ceremony, we kindly ask guests to wear traditional attire to honor the sacred setting. Men: A standard Kurta, or a shirt and trousers are appropriate. Women: A Kurta, Anarkali, or any long outfit with a scarf/dupatta to cover the head. We look forward to sharing this special day with you!

Our wedding will take place in a Gurdwara (Sikh temple), a sacred space of peace and devotion. The ceremony, called Anand Karaj (Blissful Union), is a spiritual event where the couple takes four Laavaan (circles) around the Guru Granth Sahib, symbolizing their journey in love and faith. Guests will sit on the floor, men and women on separate sides, as a sign of respect. Everyone is kindly asked to cover their head with a scarf or handkerchief. The ceremony is serene and filled with hymns, prayers, and blessings. After the ceremony, the Doli takes place—a heartfelt farewell where the bride leaves her family home and is escorted to the groom’s home. This emotional tradition symbolizes the start of her new life, with blessings and goodbyes from loved ones. We are honored to share this special day with you and can’t wait to celebrate together!
