Although we adore your children, we kindly request an adults only celebration. Thank you for understanding and we're looking forward to celebrating with you!
Carolyn and Silvannette have built a life and home together over the years, and they are celebrating their union with a heartfelt nod to Vietnamese traditions. In Vietnamese culture, it is customary to give a monetary gift in a red envelope during the wedding reception. This red envelope symbolizes good luck, prosperity, and best wishes for the couple’s future. During Chào bàn, the couple will visit each table, where guests will have the opportunity to present their red envelopes in person. Don't have a red envelope? No problem, a simple greeting card will do. DON'T forget to write your name so we know who to thank!
Chào bàn (which translates to “greeting table”) is a Vietnamese wedding tradition where the couple visits each table after being seated for dinner. This custom allows them to personally thank guests for their well wishes and receive their red envelope gifts. When presenting a red envelope, it is customary to offer a few words of blessing, such as wishing the couple a joyful marriage and a lifetime of harmony. Some tables may also take this opportunity to engage the couple in a lighthearted game or toast, adding a fun and festive element before presenting their gift.
We invite you to dress your best for this special occasion! This is a formal wedding, and we highly encourage semi-formal or cocktail attire. Great options include floor-length gowns, cocktail dresses, jumpsuits, dark suits, dress shirts with ties, or other elegant evening wear. Most importantly, wear what makes you feel your best while honoring the occasion. We kindly ask that guests avoid jeans, short-sleeved shirts, and tennis shoes. We can’t wait to celebrate with you in style!
The celebration will be a beautiful fusion of Cuban and Vietnamese cultures. During cocktail hour, guests can enjoy traditional Cuban hors d’oeuvres, while dinner will feature a family-style spread of authentic Asian cuisine. A full bar and a selection of non-alcoholic beverages will be available throughout the evening.
Dinner will be served family-style, with multiple courses placed at the center of each table for everyone to share. Guests can pick and choose from a variety of dishes, which may include noodles, soup, seafood, chicken, steak, and rice.
There will be plenty of free parking.
Please RSVP early on but no later than 9/1/25
YES! We'll be offering a full open bar throughout the evening- cheers to that! Drinks are on us- just bring your best dance moves and a little cash if you want to tip the bartenders (they're working hard to keep your glasses full and spirits high!)
