When should I RSVP by?

Please RSVP no later than Sept 5th 2019, to be able to finalize wedding day plans and ensure we save your seat.

Hey! I know the invite just had my name - but.... Can I bring a date?

Answer

We love you! And want you here with us to share in our special day! Unfortunately, due to our venue size we have very limited space, so extra guests cannot not be accommodated, but we sincerely hope that you can still make it. See you on the dance floor!

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We've made arrangements with the Residence Inn in Stamford, CT for accommodations. Charter buses will return from the venue to the hotel, at the end of night, for your convenience. Please refer to the TRANSPORTATION * HOTELS tab for info on booking, along with the discounted rate code. If you still prefer to stay near the venue, here are a couple options: Bee and Thistle Inn - The Riverwind Inn - Watersedge Resort - Pier Blue Inn - Copper Beech Inn - Quality Inn/ Saybrook. They are all about 20 minutes away from the venue.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

YES! We have 2 shuttles leaving the Residence Inn Downtown Stamford for our guests that have decided to stay at the hotel. 1st shuttle leaving at 12:30pm 2nd shuttle leaving at 12:55pm

Is there parking for the ceremony, where do I park to catch the bus to the venue?

Answer

The Church of St. Cecilia has graciously offered up 40 parking spots for our use. When arriving for the ceremony, or taking advantage of our transportation - Please park your vehicle in the rear of the church, and make your way over to the buses. They leave at 2:30p SHARP!

I missed the 230pm bus, now what? Where do I drive to, where do I park?

Answer

Not to worry! Just make your way over to the next event - the welcoming reception. It formally starts at 4pm and continues until 4:50p, followed by a train ride to the Lace Factory. There is also parking at the reception events - both at the Essex Train Company and Lace Factory. The end of the night charter bus will return to the Essex Steam Train parking lot, if you happen to have left your car there.

Ok - i am REALLY bad with time and missed the 4pm event as well.... now what?

Answer

1) I would suggest you get more sleep the night before, and take supplement vitamins. 2) But, there is still hope! Our reception along with cocktail hour starts at 5pm @ the Lace Factory. There is parking there as well for about 40 cars. We welcome all our sleepy-heads!

Well.. this is an easy answer. We want you to HAVE FUN and partake in "a day in the life of James & Silvy". Let us be your UBER for the night! Plus, whats a party without a proper charter/train pre-party!?
