First glance -- fall 2017 -- Caitlin spotted Austin in the high school gym where their church met on her very first day attending. She thought, "wow, there are some good looking guys in this world." Of course... Austin has no recollection of this pivotal moment in history. Flash forward one year, they had their first conversation at a Super Bowl party. Laughs were exchanged and time went on. They had some small talk at church, but nothing major apart from the butterflies Caitlin felt when they were in the same vicinity! After college, the pair began to work together! As they worked, the two valued one another's friendships and admired the way the other loved God. This is truly the most important piece of their story -- there was just something about the way the other loved God that made them want to be friends! When Austin finished his time working at the church, Caitlin figured their friendship would be a thing of the past due to lack of proximity. However, they just kept bumping into one another at pickleball games and on Sundays at church. The friendship couldn't die! Months later, Austin asked Caitlin out on their first date. What a 6 year build up! As they began to date, Austin was ready to say "I do" three months in. Caitlin took her sweet time in warming up to the idea, but when Austin got down on one knee at the peak of Angel's Landing in Mount Zion National Park a year and a half later, Caitlin couldn't help but give a heartfelt yes!
