The Harbour of Castellammare del Golfo

The Harbour of Castellammare del Golfo

Castellammare del Golfo, Italy

The harbor of Castellammare del Golfo is a postcard-perfect blend of history and charm. Fishing boats and yachts share the sparkling bay, watched over by a medieval fortress. Stroll the promenade, savour fresh seafood, and soak in the slow, sunlit rhythm of Sicilian coastal life. At night the city center and harbor is the place to be for locals and tourists to meet up and have a drink or late night ice cream.

Channel your inner sailor and take the wheel of your very own motor boat along the stunning Sicilian coastline. No license needed — just a sense of adventure and a love for the sea. Glide past hidden coves, dramatic cliffs, and turquoise waters that beg for a swim stop. Drop anchor for a lazy picnic on board, or pull up to a secluded beach for a dip. It’s freedom, sunshine, and a taste of la dolce vita — all at your own pace.

Enjoy the Beaches of the Area

Enjoy the Beaches of the Area

The coastline between Alcamo and Trapani offers some of Sicily’s most inviting beaches, where golden sands meet the clear blue of the Mediterranean. Spend the day swimming, sunbathing, or simply wandering along the shore. From lively beach clubs with music and cocktails to quieter stretches perfect for a peaceful escape, there’s a spot for every mood. As the sun sets, the seaside comes alive with bars and trattorias serving fresh seafood right by the water. Trekking through the "Zingaro" Natural Reserve

Castellammare del Golfo, Italy

If you're up for a bit of adventure, the Zingaro Natural Reserve offers one of Sicily’s most stunning coastal hikes (not steep but hot, 3-5h, but doing less is also great and possible). The trail winds along cliffs and hidden coves, with views of turquoise waters, wildflowers, and dramatic landscapes. Along the way, you can stop for a swim in one of many small pebble beaches — a perfect mix of nature, exercise, and relaxation.

Eat Pasta with a View in "Borgo di Scopello"

Eat Pasta with a View in "Borgo di Scopello"

Scopello, Italy

Tucked between cliffs and sea, the tiny village of Scopello is a postcard-perfect stop — and a paradise for pasta lovers. Whether you’re dining under bougainvillea or in a cozy trattoria, you’ll find fresh, simple Sicilian dishes made with local ingredients. Don’t miss the busiate (a traditional twisted pasta) with pesto alla trapanese — it’s as authentic and delicious as it gets. Florian´s favourite restaurant is "Ristorante Bar Nettuno", seen in the picture, serving his favourite dish: busiate gamberi e pistacchio.

Aperitivo at the Salt Area in Marsala

Marsala, Italy

For a truly unique Sicilian experience, head to the Salt Pans of Marsala at sunset. The landscape is breathtaking — salt mounds glowing pink in the golden light, windmills in the distance, and a peaceful sea breeze. It’s the perfect setting for an aperitivo: enjoy a glass of local wine or a cocktail with light bites as you soak in one of the island’s most magical views. - Saline Genna (https://salinagennamarsala.it/) - Saline Ettore e Infersa (https://www.seisaline.it/) - Peola Stagnone (https://maps.app.goo.gl/dinYaj9BSJneUpto9)

Fast Boat to "Favignana" Island

Fast Boat to "Favignana" Island

Trapani, Italy

Hop on a fast boat and escape to Favignana — a dreamy island just off the coast. Known for its crystal-clear waters, coves, and laid-back charm, it’s perfect for a day trip of swimming, biking, or simply lounging by the sea. The boat ride itself is short and scenic, and once there, you’ll understand why it’s considered one of the jewels of the Egadi Islands. Book your ferry here: libertylines.it (starting point Trapani) and rent a bicycle or scooter when you arrive on the island, there are plenty of shops right at the harbor.

Exploring the Beauty of "Stromboli" Island/Vulcano

Exploring the Beauty of "Stromboli" Island/Vulcano

Messina, Italy

A tiny island with a fiery soul, Stromboli is home to one of the world’s most active volcanoes — and Silvia´s favourite Sicilian attraction. You can hike up to the summit with a certified guide for a nighttime view of the glowing eruptions, or simply admire the show from a boat at sea or while sitting in the pizzeria. With its black-sand beaches, charming village, and dramatic landscape, Stromboli is both wild and wonderfully romantic. We recommend staying one night as the volcano eruptions, which happen to be around every 30 minutes, are best to be seen at night and the day can be spend at the beach with their cristal clear water. (La Sciara Hotel is a great accommodation)

Safari in Sicily

Safari in Sicily

Castelvetrano, Italy

Yes, you read that right — a safari in Sicily! At Safarìa, you can explore the island’s wild side aboard off-road vehicles through vineyards, olive groves, and scenic countryside. It’s a fun and unexpected way to discover the natural beauty of western Sicily, with stops for tastings, panoramic views, and maybe even a little dust in your hair (worth it!). The sunset in the restaurant is breathtaking.

Hiking the "Etna" Vulcano

For the adventurous at heart, hiking Mount Etna — Europe’s highest active volcano — is an unforgettable experience. The landscape is otherworldly: black lava fields, steaming craters, and sweeping views stretching to the sea. Whether you opt for a guided trek or a cable car ride part of the way, Etna offers a powerful glimpse into the raw forces of nature that shape Sicily.
