We are so excited to celebrate with you in Bulgaria! To participate in all of the wedding festivities on Saturday and Sunday, we recommend planning your stay in Plovdiv from Friday August 20th through Monday August 23rd or Tuesday August 24th. Guests traveling internationally may prefer to arrive in Bulgaria a day earlier to allow time to rest and adjust after the flight. For guests traveling from the United States, we recommend beginning to monitor flight prices early and booking approximately six to eight months in advance. Historically, round-trip flights from Chicago to Sofia have ranged from approximately $600 to $800 during that time frame, although fares will vary depending on your departure city and travel dates. Sofia Airport will be the most convenient arrival airport. Additional information regarding transportation from Sofia to Plovdiv, recommended accommodations, and the full weekend schedule will be provided as the wedding approaches. Please make sure your passport will be valid for your trip. There are no visa or entry requirements for US passport holders. We recommend staying in Plovdiv City Center as everything will be walkable and there will be no need for rental cars or taxis. Check in later to explore our recommended hotel/stay options.
