How We Met

2.23.23

On February 23, 2023, Tanner randomly sent a “Heyy” on Facebook. After talking for a few hours, he asked for my Snapchat and phone number. He told me he was in Missouri on the pipelines, so asked if we could FaceTime. We spent the next few weeks FaceTiming for hours, even falling asleep on the phone together. We became inseparable from the beginning. I truly feel like it was love at first site, well love at first FaceTime. He asked me to fly out to meet him a few weeks later, so we booked the flights and planned the trip. I’ve never in my entire life been more excited for something than to finally meet him. On March 15, 2023, I flew out to Missouri. When I walked out to the terminal, we were on the phone, and I say, “I think I see you”. As soon as he saw me, he dropped his phone, flung open his door, and ran to me, giving me the biggest hug. I don’t think I’d ever smiled so big in my entire life. He asked me that evening to officially be his girlfriend. I knew from that day, I never wanted to go another day without him. ❤️

The Proposal

6.12.23

Tanner went to the gym early that morning to let me sleep in. When he came back, he asked me if I wanted to do a date day. These are most definitely my favorite days with him. So, I got up, and we went to one of our favorite breakfast spots, Cracker Barrel. Then, we went to some stores to look at the fall decor they had put out. We stopped at a little coffee shop on the way back through before heading to mini golf. He was adamant after mini golf that we had to go home to get a snack. He wouldn’t let me stop at the gas station and get something before heading to Cooper’s Rock where we would finish our date day. We went home, and I still had no idea that in just a few short hours, my life was going to change forever. As we were driving to Cooper’s, Tanner barely said a word until I wanted to go to Raven’s Rock to hike. He was adamant we needed to go to the main rock. So, after some convincing, I agreed. Once we got there, he asked me to look and see if I could see Morgantown, after a few minutes, I turned back around to see him on one knee holding the most beautiful ring, asking me to Marry him. I swear I said yes out loud, but apparently I was saying it in my head 🤣 still sorry for giving him a heart attack to this day thinking I was saying no. After I finally got out a yes, he put the ring on my finger, and we both cried. It was the most beautiful moment. I’ve never felt more at home than I do with him. That day forever changed my life, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with the best man I could ever ask for. 🥺❤️
