I found Megan through our community church, where we both were volunteering on serve teams. It just so happens that I was volunteering in the kid’s class where Megan’s daughter, Rylee, was attending during service. You could say that Rylee started it all when she introduced us to each other and ultimately brought us together. The rest, as the saying goes, is history.
I worked alongside Megan’s parents and my mom to design a special birthday dinner for Megan that was also masqueraded as a proposal dinner at one of our favorite, local restaurants. I wrote and framed a poem for her, with a special letter inside the frame, as a “birthday” gift that led up to the proposal. With family gathered around, I dropped to my knee and popped the question that has opened the door to our new life together.
