The Sandbar at Jetties beach is a great spot to spend the day! We will most likely post up here on Friday September 17th. This festive beachfront spot serves delicious New England seafood & frozen drinks. Highly recommend the Fish Sandy and Cisco Blue Lemonade (is it time yet?!)
Madaket is the neighborhood on the west side of the island, about 6 miles from downtown. Millie's is the main restaurant in the area, and has great lobster rolls, seafood, and sandwiches. Madaket Beach is just down the road. You can bike, hop on a bus or take an Uber/taxi.
Check out downtown Nantucket! The area is very walkable, and there's plenty to do, including the Whaling Museum, harbor views, and plenty of shopping. There are also tons of restaurants! Some of our favorites: -Cru Oyster Bar: with it's harbor views and fresh oysters, it is shucking amazing for cocktails and a bite! (1 Straight Wharf) -Corner Table: great spot for breakfast/coffee in town. (22 Federal St.) -Island Kitchen: Great spot for breakfast with outdoor seating and frozen mimosas! -The Proprietors Bar and Table: Unique small plates and good cocktails (9 India St.) -Sayle's Seafood: Casual, counter-service seafood by the harbor (99 Washington St. Ext.) -Lola 41: Asian fusion, great cocktails (15 South Beach St.)
A fishing adventure with Captain Fred is a Nantucket must if you have the time! Fred is full of stories of the sea and he makes sure "everyone gets a piece of the pie" so you are sure to come away with plenty of Blue Fin catch! Check it out downtown in the harbor.
Cisco Brewery is an iconic local spot about 3 miles from downtown. It's Nantucket's local brewery, selling beer/wine/cocktails and food from local food trucks. It's a great spot with plenty of outdoor seating, dogs, and live music. A free shuttle leaves from downtown every 20-30 minutes. Catch the shuttle from the Nantucket Visitor Center at 25 Federal St.
