On June 26, 2015, Eldon and Silia were both in the same place at the same time, a church dance at Virginia Chapel. Eldon saw Silia for the first time and instantly knew he had to meet her. After the dance, he introduced himself, and with a smooth mouthpiece and just the right amount of confidence, he managed to get her number. One phone number quickly turned into countless conversations, laughter, and memories. In November of 2016, their story took a leap of faith. Eldon left to serve a two-year full-time LDS mission in the motherland, while Silia began her undergraduate studies at university. Distance, busy schedules, and a lot of growing tested them, and there were worries and maybe a few doubts about what their future together would look like. Through it all, they trusted that Heavenly Father would guide their paths and bring them back together—and He did. Fast forward to April 22, 2023, Eldon proposed and asked Silia for her hand in marriage. After years of faith, patience, love, and life happening along the way, they are now here, getting married and sealed for all time and eternity and proving that some love stories really are worth the wait. With hearts full of gratitude, they celebrate the love that found its way back to each other and the forever that now begins.
