Danny first noticed Ally on their journey to Israel during the summer of 2013. He was walking towards the back of the airplane to join-in on the morning prayer when he caught a glimpse of the woman who would one day become the love of his life. But, the beginning of their relationship didn’t form 30,000 feet in the air…it began in a get-together in the Kfar Maccabiah Hotel, where all of the Maccabi USA athletes were staying for training camp. Instantly, Danny noticed that Ally was the life of the party, since all of her teammates were around enjoying her company. Although not clever, Danny took his shot and scored with a quick and simple line, “Hey, I don’t have your Snapchat yet”. From then on, the two were inseparable, and the rest is history, they were a match made in heaven.

When they arrived in New York, 4 weeks after they first met, they knew their love was more than a summer romance. Danny was from Queens and Allison from Westchester, which to this day he considers to be ‘Upstate New York’. However, this 30-mile drive was nothing compared to the distance between their colleges. Ally was preparing to begin school at Bowdoin College in Maine & Danny was staying local and attending Adelphi University in Garden City, which was a 333-mile drive (more miles than the entire length of Israel). But, true to his form, he reached out to her each and every day thinking about ways they could meet with the goal of continuing the flame that sparked in the Holy Land. Finally, Danny and Ally planned to meet-up in Grand Central Station. As he waited for her train to arrive at the station, he was excited for their first-date in the city. He received a text from her upon arrival and that’s when his heart started beating faster and faster. What was actually 2 minutes felt like 10 minutes as he constantly swiveled his head nervously and excitedly looking for, in his eyes, the most beautiful woman he has ever laid his eyes on. Finally, he found Ally walking directly towards him on the Main Concourse. Their moment of embrace was one that could have lasted forever. To this day, Danny loves meeting Ally at Grand Central station. He waits for her train to come in & constantly surveys the Main Concourse to search for her amongst hundreds of people. When he does see her, his heart relaxes, and he walks towards a smiling Ally waiting to be embraced with a hug. Their date began with a milestone. Ally rode the subway for the first time…ever! But, not to worry, Danny had an exam he had to pass that day too. Ever watch Robert De Niro in ‘Meet the Parents’? Well, it was time for him to meet Ally's parents for the first time, and let me tell you, Merryll Silfen puts De Niro to shame. Thankfully, dinner went smoothly, and he passed the test.

Fast-forward 5 amazing years later, Danny knew it was time to put an end to the long-distance. As much as they were grateful for Facetime dates, he did not want to live another day apart from his dream girl and was ready for the next chapter of their love story. For 6 months, Danny prepared for the big question: getting the ring ready, planning the evening out, and most importantly, asking the question. Danny made a reservation at his favorite steak restaurant in NYC, but Ally was hard to sway as she was sold on staying in her sweats and joining the family barbecue. As her sisters and mother groomed her and tossed her out the door, she was naïve as to what was to come. After ordering, Danny surprised Ally with a late birthday gift. A bracelet she wanted for a long time. As Ally was admiring her new bracelet, she excitedly stated, “This is the best night ever!” As Danny heard the cue, before Ally could look up from her new bracelet, he was on one knee asking her to marry him. And of course, she said YES!!! As the delicious food starting to come out, for the first-time Ally was left speechless and with no appetite (leaving a very happy and relieved Danny).

Fast-forward another year later, Danny and Ally are happily engaged and living in Israel. Both of them pursued their dream of playing basketball at the professional level and made Israel their second-home. And most importantly, they are no longer long distance and happily get to spend every day together. A life filled with continuous love, adventure, and laughter. They are excited to celebrate their Wedding-day in New York with family & friends and wish and hope that each and every one of you finds something that makes you truly happy as they found with each other. On Thursday May 21st, Daniel and Allison got married in Westchester, New York in an intimate ceremony accompanied by their immediate family. It was an absolutely perfect day filled with beautiful weather, positive vibes, and lots and lots of LOVE!

While everything was absolutely perfect about Allison and Daniel's wedding ceremony, only one thing was missing .... the company of their friends and extended family. Therefore, they look forward to continuing the celebration and spreading the love with all of you soon!
