We actually met when I was nine and he was ten, at John and Chelsea's shower and then wedding! It was love at first sight, but then... we became teenagers and stopped talking for five years. My bad. I never stopped liking him, so in June 2022 I worked up the courage to ask him about Rubik's cubes while I was babysitting 16 hours a week for Paige at his house. That summer was spent doing Rubik's cubes together, crocheting, using a 3D pen, and basically any other excuse we could think of to hang out while Paige's kids napped. On August 4th, he asked me out, and yeah... the rest is history :)
We first met at my brother's (John) and her aunt's(Chelsea) wedding back in 2015. We were only 10 and 11 years old at that point and we were immediately friends spending the entirety of the wedding having fun and hanging out. Many of years later, we reconnected while she was nannying my brother's kids. At a family run, she asked me if I could help her with some Rubik's cube things she was trying learn. I (completely unaware of her true romantic intentions) agreed to help the next time she was watching Brooke and Liam. Over the next two months, when the kids were napping or after she was done, we would talk about Rubik's cube, how to crochet a Pi day pie or whatever else were were thinking about. Eventually, after talking to her dad, I built up the courage to ask her out and, after she turned red and nodded, we planned our first date.
