We can't wait to see you on our day!

Silas and Maria knew OF each other through mutual friends for years, but never quite crossed paths. In May of 2021 Maria initiated contact with Silas, which was well received. They began talking and went out for pizza at Bohemian Pizza the next day for their first date. Afterwards they watched a Bruins game together on TV. Silas awkwardly asked for a hug, and the longest hug of their lives ensued, while their pup, Henry watched. The next night they stayed up until 5 a.m. talking about everything under the sun. Since then, Maria and Silas have never been apart. Life has thrown them unthinkable challenges. Silas was diagnosed with cancer after the couple had been together for only 2 months. Just after moving into a brand-new apartment Silas was told, he would need to complete chemotherapy and the two made the difficult decision to move to Vermont for Silas to receive the best care. This was a two-year plan for the couple that was just made sooner than expected. While this journey tested the couple, it also brought them closer together and strengthened their relationship. They take pride in how they communicate and how they choose to treat each other. Relationships aren't easy, but the two are always able to find joy in their love.

Silas proposed while the couple was on a family trip to Jay Peak on Tuesday 2/22/22! Maria had just come from a horrible snowboarding lesson and Silas was taking off her boots when he asked her if she wanted to "do this" with him. She asked if he "was serious" and asked if he was "sure" before exclaiming yes!!
