Parking will be available in four reserved lots near the venue (R17, R16, R4, and R2), with about 300 total spaces for wedding guests. Access to campus will be restricted due to a nearby concert, but guests will have a private entry route and dedicated parking areas separate from concert traffic. Guests should arrive via Broadway or South Akron to 7th Street (not the Marsha Sharp Freeway) and follow posted signage and attendants for guidance. Parking passes will be handed out at the end of the ceremony and are required for entry—these will also work for any rideshare vehicles accessing the designated route and lots. Please note that traffic may be heavier at the end of the night due to the concert, but the designated routes will help keep things moving as smoothly as possible.
Yes, trolley service will run from 4:00–11:45 p.m. between the hotels, ceremony, and reception. This service is reserved for guests staying at the Overton, Cotton Court, and the DoubleTree. The trolley accommodates up to 32 passengers at a time, so capacity is limited. Guests are welcome use rideshare if preferred (parking passes will allow access for those options).
The dress code for the event is black-tie optional. This means formal attire is encouraged. Gentlemen may wear a tuxedo or a dark suit and tie, while ladies are invited to wear an evening gown, cocktail dress, or elegant attire suitable for a formal occasion.
We kindly request that guests arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of the ceremony to ensure a timely beginning. The ceremony will commence promptly at 5:00 pm. Reception details and timing are provided on the invitation and the wedding website.
We kindly ask that guests attend as indicated on their invitation. If your invitation includes a plus one, we look forward to welcoming your guest. Otherwise, we respectfully request that attendance be limited to those named on the invitation.
While we adore your little ones, the celebration will be an adults-only occasion, except for children who have been specifically invited. We appreciate your understanding and hope to celebrate with you soon!
