Our Story

Jon and Morgan’s story began in 2018 Nazareth College, where they met as freshmen entering Physical Therapy school. What started as a friendship within a shared circle grew into something much deeper — built on teamwork, dedication, and a whole lot of time spent together. Both student-athletes, they were constantly crossing paths. Jon was a member of the men’s lacrosse team, while Morgan competed with the women’s soccer team. Their teams trained hard, competed hard, and celebrated together. Through athletics and academics, their connection naturally strengthened. When PT school intensified, so did their friendship. Long hours of studying turned into shared routines. Between classes, exams, and clinical prep, they leaned on each other — forming a partnership grounded in support, humor, and resilience. By their fifth year, they took a leap and their friendship officially became something more. They were not only dating but also working together as graduate assistants in the game management department — meaning they truly did everything side by side: studying, working, and navigating the final stretch of PT school. Last year of grad school came new challenges. Clinical rotations took them to different states — Jon to Colorado and Morgan to Florida — testing their relationship with distance. They persevered. Then came months of intense preparation for board exams, filled with stress and long study days. Together, they passed — a milestone that opened the door to their next chapter. That chapter brought them to Texas. Now living in Bee Cave, Morgan works at ATI Physical Therapy and Jon works at Texas Physical Therapy Specialists, while also running a thriving club lacrosse program in the Austin area. They are building careers they love, growing roots in a new state, and embracing young adulthood together. Their family also includes Riggins — their beloved dog, who quickly became the heart of their home. Between Texas sunsets, new adventures, and dreams of someday having a bigger house with a big backyard (for more dogs — and maybe kids), life has been full. This past Christmas, Jon proposed to Morgan at her Nana and Pop’s lake house on Canandaigua Lake. Surrounded by family on a beautiful winter day, it was a heartfelt and unforgettable moment — the perfect beginning to their next chapter. From college teammates to study partners, long-distance survivors to licensed physical therapists, and now fiancé and fiancée — Jon and Morgan’s story has always been built on partnership. And this is only the beginning…
