Garden-inspired attire is encouraged for this joyful celebration. Think floral prints, colorful dresses, suits in lighter hues, or traditional Indian attire. Embrace vibrant shades like yellow, blue, green, pink, or orange. Ladies often wear traditional sarees, lehengas, salwar kameez or bright dresses, while men may opt for western or Indian attire.
Welcome to our Mehendi Ceremony! We're so happy to gather with our loved ones for this pre-wedding tradition to celebrate our love and new beginnings. During the Mehendi ceremony, henna is applied to the bride’s hands and feet, symbolizing joy, blessings, and abundance. The intricate designs represent life's beauty and the couple’s future together. We'll gather with light refreshments and the opportunity to receive beautiful mehendi (henna art) if you'd like.
5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
We encourage guests to wear sunset and golden hued Western or Indian attire. Shades of yellow, gold, orange, peach, or soft pastels — colors that reflect the warmth and radiance of the occasion. Women often wear sarees, lehengas, salwar kameez, or dresses, while men may choose to wear kurtas or relaxed suits.
The Haldi ceremony is a pre-wedding ritual where a turmeric, sandalwood, and rosewater paste is applied to the couple by the women of their family. It symbolizes love, protection, and the blessings of loved ones as we enter this new chapter together. We’re so excited to celebrate this heartfelt tradition with all of you as we prepare for the big day. There will be dinner and drinks to enjoy!
2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
This event is the arrival of the groom and his wedding party to the wedding ceremony. As guests arrive, they'll be divided into the bride's and groom's sides. The bride's side will gather together to welcome the groom. The groom's side will join him on his processional entry to the wedding venue. Expect traditional drums, music, and dancing!
3:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Formal Western & Indian Attire — wear colors that bring you joy!
As a small request, we kindly ask that guests avoid wearing solid white, red, or black to the wedding ceremony, in honor of cultural traditions. We will be married in a traditional Hindu ceremony led by Brahmin priests. We're honored to have our loved ones bear witness to our union. More details about aspects of the ceremony and attire are on the FAQ page. Light refreshments will be served during the ceremony.
