We’re getting married!

We bumped into each other at a bar on a Wednesday night in Tuscaloosa (Roll Tide). We began a friendship and didn't think much of our meeting until a couple months later during our Winter Break. We spoke all day almost everyday and that is when Evan decided to drive over 20 hours from Chicago to Miami to be with me (Elly) on New Year's Eve. The trip to Miami solidified our feelings for one another and we decided to make things official on January 26th, 2019. Spending the last 3 1/2 years growing together is something we are both extremely grateful for and cherish deeply. We are so excited to take these next steps and continue our lives together as husband and wife!

It started out as a normal Saturday morning at the nail salon where I (Elly) asked my friend to accompany me. Little did I know, the nail appointment had already been made days prior (thank you Anna Marie). That evening, what I thought was going to be a girls night, ended up being a complete setup. On the way to dinner with my friends, we drove past Freedom Park and I mentioned what a great location for an engagement it would be. Out of nowhere, they then pulled the car over and told me to get out. I was in complete shock but in that moment I knew. I began walking in the park until I saw the most beautiful setup and there was Evan, he was down on one knee waiting for me. It was the most perfect surprise and the most magical day. We cannot thank our friends enough for all they did!
