Colton and Sierra met on Hinge in August 2023, thanks to modern technology and good timing, shortly after Colton moved to Salt Lake City for work. Their first date was a hike in the mountains, which Sierra agreed to after sharing her location with friends—just in case. It went well enough to earn a second date where they went rock climbing. Sierra had never gone before, but she still managed to catch Colton perfectly after a fall, setting expectations early about teamwork and trust. Since then, they’ve spent their time exploring Utah and eventually getting engaged on a very windy cruise, where Sierra’s hair managed to block Colton’s face in most of the proposal photos. Shortly after the wedding, they’ll be moving to Detroit, Michigan for the next step in Colton’s medical training and whatever adventure comes after that.
