Portland International Airport (PDX) is the closest major airport, located about 1–1.25 hours from Hood River. We recommend renting a car at PDX, as public transportation options are limited and having a car will make it much easier to get around during the weekend. The drive from Portland to Hood River is scenic and follows the Columbia River Gorge — one of the most beautiful stretches in Oregon!
