Only 2 miles from the wedding venue, just a quick jaunt down the 101 to get there. A chain hotel, so you know what you'll be getting, but not the most scenic location.

Cottage Inn By the Sea

We stayed here about a year ago on a weekend trip to Pismo and we enjoyed it. Quaint, on the coast, and a bit removed if you're staying for a few nights.

Sandcastle Hotel On The Beach

If you want to stay in Pismo Beach proper, this is a fun little hotel that's near the pier and all of the other Pismo attractions.

Los Angeles International Airport

Probably the most "convenient" airport option if you are intending to fly. Beware that it's still a 3 hour drive (minimum) from LA, but LAX will likely have the most variety and the best prices for flights.

Fresno Yosemite International Airport

About the same drive time from Fresno as LA, but it may be less hectic than the hustle and bustle of LA. Neither of us have ever used this airport though, so we're speculating.

SLO County Airport

SLO County Airport is by far the closest airport (about 20 minutes from the venue), but the airport is quite small so flights will be more limited and prices will certainly be higher.

San Luis Obispo

San Luis Obispo is about 15-20 minutes up the 101 from the venue. While we do not have any specific recommendations for hotels in the area, we do really like the vibe that SLO has to offer if you would rather be in more of a "city" than a beach town like Pismo/Arroyo Grande.
