Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

As long as the weather permits, our ceremony space will be outdoors in a grassy area (there is a backup indoor location, in case of rain). The reception will take place inside of the lodge.

Is there a place to park my car?

Answer

Yes! There are multiple free parking lots at the lodge, so you’ll have plenty of options for parking your vehicle. Feel free to use any of the available lots.

Can I stay at Starved Rock Lodge on Saturday only?

Answer

Unfortunately, the hotel requires a two night stay. We recommend coming early and spending Friday and Saturday with many other friends and family who will be in attendance, or staying at one of the many hotels located nearby. If you would rather just stay for Saturday night, there are many options within 15 minutes of the lodge.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We ask that all guests please wear semi-formal or cocktail attire to the ceremony and reception.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We would love to share our special day with as many people as possible, but due to venue restrictions, we are unable to accommodate anyone other than listed guests on invites.

Can I bring my children to the wedding?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to venue restrictions on our total headcount we will not be having children at the ceremony or reception. Since this is a weekend-long event, you are more than welcome to bring your kids for the weekend to stay at the lodge. Just please make sure to bring along an in-law or arrange for a sitter to watch them during the wedding festivities!
